Often issues with children cannot be detected at an early stage due to the following: - we are unable to identify the first signs of the problem and introduce preventive actions, we feel that the problems themselves will be gone after certain developmental phase, - the problems become more apparent in a particular developmental phase or after severe life-related problems, such as loss of a dear person, divorce, failure at school, etc. In cases of serious psychological, emotional or behavioral problems in children and adolescents, counseling with parents only, will not be sufficient. It is of utmost importance to include the child as well and provide adequate psychological support that mainly involves individual psychotherapy. Depending on the issue, the child's age, and other factors affecting the development of a child, individual strategies and plans are developed to provide support to the child and parents in solving the problem.
